Samsung Wallet to Support Solana Stablecoins on 82M U.S. Devices
Samsung and Solana Foundation will integrate stablecoin payments into Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay, targeting 82 million U.S. Galaxy users.
Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will natively support stablecoins built on the Solana blockchain, the Solana Foundation announced Tuesday in New York, bringing cryptocurrency-powered cross-border money transfers to an estimated 82 million Galaxy device users across the United States.
The partnership embeds stablecoin functionality directly into the Samsung Wallet interface that Galaxy owners already use for payments and digital credentials, lowering the friction typically associated with cryptocurrency adoption by eliminating the need for separate crypto wallets or third-party applications.

The integration focuses specifically on cross-border money transfers, a segment where stablecoins have gained traction as an alternative to traditional wire services due to faster settlement times and potentially lower fees. By routing those transactions over Solana — a blockchain network favored for its high throughput and comparatively low transaction costs — Samsung aims to make the experience competitive with incumbent remittance platforms.
The announcement positions Samsung as one of the largest consumer electronics companies to embed blockchain-based payments at the operating-system level, signaling a broader push by both legacy device makers and crypto infrastructure providers to move digital assets into everyday commerce. The scale of 82 million U.S. devices gives the rollout an immediate potential reach that few prior stablecoin deployments have matched.
