Home Bancorp, Inc., the Lafayette, Louisiana-based parent of Home Bank, N.A., announced Tuesday that Chief Executive Officer John W. Bordelon will step down effective January 8, 2027, capping what is expected to be a planned leadership transition at the Nasdaq-listed regional lender.
Darren E. Guidry has been designated to assume the chief executive role upon Bordelon's departure, according to the company's announcement. The succession plan signals an orderly handoff at a community banking institution that serves markets across Louisiana.

Planned CEO transitions of this nature are increasingly common among regional banks seeking to minimize market uncertainty and maintain investor confidence. By announcing the change more than a year in advance, Home Bancorp's board allows time for Guidry to prepare for the role while Bordelon remains involved in day-to-day operations.
Home Bancorp trades on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol HBCP. The company has not yet disclosed details regarding any interim leadership arrangements or changes to the broader executive team that may accompany the transition.
