The sale represents one of the more significant luxury hotel transactions in the Arizona market in recent memory, with the per-key valuation underscoring sustained institutional appetite for trophy resort assets even as broader commercial real estate faces financing headwinds. Braemar Hotels & Resorts focuses on investing in upper-upscale and luxury hotels and resorts. Asset dispositions of this scale can allow REITs to rebalance portfolios, reduce leverage, or fund acquisitions elsewhere in their target markets.
